El grupo de 4 artistas locales de Molinos se formó de manera espontánea en 2002, con la intención de realizar exposiciones de arte. Dicha iniciativa tiene lugar dos veces al año y consiste en la muestra conjunta de las obras de “L@s4” y otros colectivos o artistas individuales cercanos o relacionados con la zona «con la intención de traer nuevas creaciones y motivación para seguir trabajando».
Siempre realizan una exposición durante Semana Santa donde participan los cuatro artistas del pueblo y algún artista invitado, esta muestra suele organizarse siguiendo una temática.
En cuanto a las exposiciones de verano, los 4 artistas invitan “gente que tiene casa en Molinos o son hijos de gente de aquí y que se dedican al arte un tiempo regular”. Esta exposición veraniega no tiene ninguna temática, o sea, no plantea necesariamente ningún nexo entre las distintas piezas que la componen, sino que únicamente se exija a los autores que presentan obras de nueva creación. A pesar del riesgo de resultar una mezcla heterogénea bajo estos requisitos, casi “de milagro los colores de todos los cuadros y sus estilos coinciden más o menos” y aunque montar una exposición con varias personas tiene su riesgo, cada vez logramos una presentación muy coherente. En la zona no hay falta de talento, sino de oportunidades. “En el Maestrazgo hay un montón de gente que se dedica al arte, a pintar, escribir, hacer esculturas, pero la mayoría están escondidos. Con la exhibición de estas exposiciones damos esa oportunidad a algunos que nunca han expuesto y tienen una obra muy buena. Además el público no escasea en la zona. Ya que tenemos las Grutas de Cristal y se acercan turistas, hay posibilidades de mostrar y hasta vender, por lo que tratamos de aprovechar la situación.
The group of 4 local artists from Molinos was formed spontaneously in 2002, with the intention of holding art exhibitions. This initiative takes place twice a year and consists of an exhibition with the works of “L@s4”, and other groups or individual artists, close to, or related to the area “with the intention of bringing new creations and motivation to continue working”.
They always have an exhibition during Easter where the four artists from the village, and a guest artist participates, usualy working around a specific subject or concept.
As for the summer exhibitions, the 4 artists invite “people who have houses in Molinos or are related to the village and who dedicate themselves to art on a regular basis”. The summer exhibition doesnt require any general theme or concept, there is no correlation between the different works, it only requires authors to present recent works of art. Despite the risk of being a heterogeneous mix under these requirements, the colors of all the paintings and their styles, almost “by miracle”, more or less fit together, and although organizing an exhibition with several people has its risks, each time they achieve a very consistent presentation. In the area there is a lack of opportunities, but not of talent. “In Maestrazgo there are a lot of people who dedicate themselves to art, painting, writing, sculpting, but most of them are unknown. With these exhibitions they give the opportunity to some who have never exhibited and to present their work. In addition, the public is not scarce in the area. Since the village has the “Grutas de Cristal” and there is an abundance of tourists visiting our village, there are possibilities to show our work and even sell it, so they try to take advantage of the situation.
